Jinhwan Kim is an active graphic designer who brings a diverse background in various industries, especially digital projects for brands like Discover, FedEx, Nike, and United Airlines. He brought simple UX and UI solutions for the new United web, Discover Home Equity web, and FedEx App global releases. Influenced by these experiences, he contributed digital interface design solutions and futuristic concepts to companies in the North American healthcare industry.
Jinhwan received undergraduate degree from the Arizona State University and was influenced by the educators carrying on the linear investigation, scientific/rational design approach, and experimental typography from Basel, Swiss. He then expanded his design when he pursued an MFA in Graphic Design at Maryland Institute College of Art(MICA). He also was a member of the Center for Design Thinking at MICA that publishes insightful design books. His research on page transitions and digital interface were featured in one of the books published by Princeton Architectural, Type on Screen: New Typographical Systems, edited by Ellen Lupton. He is a typography lover, self-motivated artist, and imperfect human being who always challenges himself with new and old skills.
